The 2019 Varsity saw similar results as last year, with Oxford taking the Men's II, Women's II and I but Cambridge overpowering with clarity in the Men's I game. We would like to thank everyone who came to support us at the Sports Centre, as well those who followed the games through the live stream on Facebook. The live stream recordings will be made available soon - keep an eye on this space!

CUWBbC is extremely happy to announce the beginning of the relationship with a new sponsor, Sanctuary Graduates. They are a leading recruitment company based in London, who work with over 100 employers and have over 1000 student representatives at more than 60 universities across the country. The nature of the relationship is such that for every referral made using our unique society code, £1 will be given to the Club, and for every hire £200 will be paid. We will advertise relevant job opportunities under the "Sponsors" tab and provide information on how to apply using our unique society referral code. We believe that this new partnership will be beneficial for the whole Club, as it will give you the opportunity to access many job vacancies that have been screened and selected for their quality. We look forward to working with Sanctuary Graduates this season and hope that the relationship grows in the future.
Exciting news for College League (CL) players! This year, our CL Officer Annie Lyons has designed a new format of competition to encourage more players to join the league and help them develop their skills in a more integrated community. The league will begin In Lent term, with Michaelmas being dedicated to developing player skills in training sessions run by Blues and Panthers players once a week at the Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre. The sessions will be open to all those interested, at a small fee in order to cover court booking. This change has been motivated by a desire to create a more integrated community of women and non-binary people around the sport of basketball, and a belief that this new format will allow players to develop better than the one that was in place before. More information on this new system will be made available soon, including inscription, fees and training times. Keep an eye on the College League tab and follow CUWBbC on social media (Facebook and Instagram) to keep up to date with the latest news.
